Service Life Limit
Parker Lord PMA main rotor spherical thrust bearings are an important component of operational safety. The service life limits set for this component are specified in the table below. When the specified life limit is reached, the component can no longer be used in service.
SPE IIA Elastomer Upgrade
The new part is designed with Parker Lord’s SPE IIA elastomer, the latest generation of elastomers specially formulated to withstand the rigors of helicopter flight. This highly engineered elastomer maintains its mechanical properties at high temperatures with little degradation, while offering the same protection against sand, rain, oil and other contaminants as conventional elastomers.
