One way to achieve this is to reduce wear on hydraulic system components. Many factors contribute to wear, the most common being particulate matter in the hydraulic oil.

   

   The latest versions of MIL-PRF-5606, MIL-PRF-6083, MIL-PRF-46170, MIL-PRF-83282, and MIL-PRF-8725 require hydraulic oils to be “ultra-clean.” Ultra-clean means that particulate matter in the hydraulic oil is strictly controlled. Over the years, hydraulic systems and components have become smaller while operating pressures have increased. Therefore, particulate matter in the hydraulic oil is more likely to cause valve sticking, impact corrosion, wear, and nozzle and pipe blockage, leading to system failure. Thus, these specifications impose very strict limits on particulate matter.

    AeroShell Fluid 31 is a synthetic hydrocarbon-based aircraft hydraulic fluid with significantly improved flame retardancy compared to conventional petroleum products.

    AeroShell Fluid 31 uses specially designed base oils with a relatively high flash point, excellent low-temperature performance, and good oxidation and thermal stability. Furthermore, AeroShell Fluid 31 incorporates high-tech additives to provide antioxidant, corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant, and anti-foaming protection.

    AeroShell Fluid 31 undergoes ultra-clean filtration to ensure optimal performance for particulate monitoring systems.

    Operating temperature range: –40°C to +205°C (–40°F to +401°F).


    AeroShell Fluid 41 is a mineral hydraulic oil with ultra-clean properties.

    Its manufacturing process prioritizes cleanliness and improves fluid performance.

    AeroShell Fluid 41 utilizes additives that provide excellent low-temperature fluidity, anti-wear properties, oxidation and corrosion resistance, and shear stability.            Furthermore, this high viscosity index hydraulic oil contains metal deactivators and foam inhibitors to enhance performance in hydraulic applications.
