AeroShell Oil W 15W-50
Semi-synthetic multigrade universal motor oil
AeroShell Oil W 15W-50 is our highest quality aviation piston engine oil. It has been used for over 25 years and is trusted by more pilots and engineers than any other oil in its class.
AeroShell Oil W 15W-50 provides rapid engine protection throughout the oil change interval and all year round, and reduces fuel consumption compared to monograde oils. These benefits are derived from a carefully designed combination of semi-synthetic multigrade base oils and an advanced non-metallic anti-wear and anti-rust additive package.
Advantages and Features
1. Less Fuel Consumption
We recognize the need to reduce operating and maintenance costs. In tests, AeroShell Oil W 15W-50 significantly reduced fuel consumption compared to monograde oils. AeroShell Oil W 15W-50 has the highest synthetic content of all fully approved conventional aviation piston engine oils. Semi-synthetic base oils and additives allow AeroShell Oil W 15W-50 to withstand viscosity changes, oxidation and shear. This means it protects your engine while having a lower viscosity than mineral oils for better fuel economy. It has less evaporation losses, which reduces oil consumption.
2. Reduced Maintenance Costs
Wear and deposits can reduce engine efficiency and power, leading to costly repairs. AeroShell Oil W 15W-50 helps keep your engine clean while providing excellent protection, helping to reduce costs and keep your aircraft performing well.
3. Fast protection that lasts all year
A lot of engine damage occurs during the start-up phase. AeroShell Oil W 15W-50 leaves a protective layer on moving parts and gets to work faster than other aviation piston engine oils.In testing, AeroShell Oil W 15W-50 reached maximum oil pressure more than 25 seconds faster than a competitor’s 20W-50 oil (70 PSI front oil gallery pressure, tested at 0°C ambient temperature).
